Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading company in Irving, TX to find a skilled individual to join the team as a Project Manager.
This role involves overseeing Building & Infrastructure projects and leading the project team. Projects encompass a range of owners, both private and public, and utilize various delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and Construction Manager at Risk.
As a managerial position, the Project Manager assumes responsibility for project management and team leadership. Core duties include managing project finances, schedules, risk, quality, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative and cohesive project team environment.
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, and safety.
- Engage in preconstruction services, including estimation and value engineering.
- Supervise Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Construction Interns assigned to contracts or work orders.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to explore alternative solutions.
- Monitor the performance of Superintendents on contracts or work orders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, and engineers.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope of work.
- Develop and maintain project cost reports.
- Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners.
- Document and negotiate changes affecting project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners.
- Establish field quality assurance and quality control plans in conjunction with Superintendents.
- Coordinate project safety plans with Superintendents.
- Manage Minority Business Enterprise/Women's Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) subcontracting requirements.
- Oversee compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action contract requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or 5-10 years of construction experience.
- Experience with various project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and Construction Manager at Risk.
- Preference for experience in healthcare, education, municipal, and suburban markets; aviation market experience is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel concurrently.
- Proficiency in construction principles, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in Project Management Software; experience with Scheduling Software preferred.
- Strong computer skills, effective communication, and excellent organizational abilities are essential.
