We’re looking for our next experienced Project Manager to join our PMO. Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll be leading a variety of projects for both internal leaders and external partner stakeholders.
A day in the life as a Project Manager:
Project Planning
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Identify and allocate resources needed for the project.
- Create a risk management plan and mitigation strategies.
Resource Management
- Assemble project teams and assign tasks.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members.
- Foster collaboration and communication among team members.
- Manage conflicts and resolve issues within the team.
Communication:
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks.
- Address stakeholder concerns and manage their expectations.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project and assess their impact.
- Develop risk response strategies to mitigate or avoid risks.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement contingency plans when necessary.
Project Management and Reporting:
- Monitor project progress against milestones and timelines.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
- Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.
- Identify areas of improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and managing project documentation systems.
- Archive project documentation and lessons learned for future reference.
Change Management:
- Assess and manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources.
- Evaluate the impact of changes and adjust plans accordingly.
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
- Ensure changes are implemented smoothly and minimize disruption to the project.
In the first six months, you’ll be successful at reaching these milestones:
- See multiple vendor/collaboration projects through to completion, such as audits or large-scale integrations
- Roll out company-wide process improvements in collaboration with senior leadership
- Lead internal software implementation projects
- Improve or create team processes

- I have knowledge of project management, gained through formal education and 3+ years of direct experience in project management
- I have experience planning and executing software implementation projects
- I have experience with risk management
- I am highly organized and have a proven ability to consistently deliver on small and large initiatives
- I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- I am a critical thinker and have a proven ability to solve professional problems
- I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA
- I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
- I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
