About the Role
UGS is looking for a Project Manager who will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. The PM is responsible for developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility by serving as the manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
We provide expert engineering solutions to our customers. You will do the same by:
- Able to operate within a high-execution and fast-paced environment.
- Leading the end-to-end engineering project life cycle (schedule, scope, budgeting, allocating resources, etc) - with a high degree of financial/cost sensibility.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Develop detailed project schedules, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Facilitates communication among clients/customers and project engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation together with the Projects Director.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
- Be the guide/mentor for Project Engineers (Mechanical) who will be your assets on the projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, required.
- 7+ years of experience required delivering process package systems to the biogas, oil and gas or similar industries.
- Customer driven.
- Extensive technical knowledge across multiple disciplines to support decision making.
- Strong commercial acumen ensuring contracts are respected whilst maximizing the project profitability for the Company.
- Able to develop strong client relationships based on trust, responsive communication and delivering as promised.
- Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
