Program Director – FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service (DaaS)

If so, we invite you to join our dedicated team working on the FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service accelerator for First-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects.
Program Overview
FOAXIAL, delivered by Deep Science Ventures (DSV) and its partners, aims to prepare the teams developing key decarbonization technologies for their FOAK onto nth-of-a-kind projects. Collaborating with a global network and key EPCs, corporates, investors and philanthropy, we aim to facilitate emissions reductions in select industrial sectors by accelerating later stage startups and providing them the operational, financial, and partnerships support to succeed.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Program Director with a strong operational and engineering background to drive the development of FOAXIAL, ideally with experience in or with the project development sector. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing resources, budgets, and staff on projects, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring impactful outcomes as the program engages with corporate, startup, and philanthropic partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive scopes of work, budgets, and work plans for FOAXIAL, to deliver successful projects and decarbonization acceleration.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a team of technical and operational staff as well as provide oversight to contracted expert firms, to drive FOAXIAL to distinctive performance and success.
- Oversee engagement with startup teams and founders, including selection and diligence, programmatic support, and ensuring high visibility of the program.
- Interface with diverse stakeholders, hosting meetings, workshops, and fostering relationships with partner organizations.
- Guide, review, and shape technical deliverables, including outlines, drafts, and final deliverables of, for example, Front End Engineering Designs (FEEDs) - Design and Procurement documents, and Construction and Commissioning support, in service to a variety of startups and technologies.
- Evaluate project impact quantitatively and qualitatively, measuring outcomes related to emissions, energy production, jobs, and investments.
- Create external communications materials to support strategic initiatives, including blogs, op-eds, slide decks, and public speaking engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional work experience, including a minimum of 3+ years in a team management role.
- Proven experience in managing projects, leading teams, and overseeing budgets and work plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong references from previous work experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in project implementation, especially in infrastructure projects, facility construction or retrofitting,
- Prior experience in key industrial sectors, including cement, steel, petrochemicals, carbon dioxide removal, renewable energy and storage, cooling systems, and/or manufacturing.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and supporting startups and founders.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
