Position Overview
As a Product Development Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the research and development of new products. You will assist in conducting experiments, testing formulations, and documenting results to help bring innovative products to life. This hands-on role involves working closely with the R&D team to ensure product quality, conducting routine lab maintenance, and managing samples and inventory. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments and testing procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain clear and precise records of all relevant data and test results in a laboratory notebook.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in routine laboratory maintenance and support daily R&D operations.
- Assist the production team with verifying weigh-outs and manufacturing final products.
- Support quality control by testing raw materials and finished products.
- Order raw material samples and manage the laboratory inventory.
- Use IT tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack) for communication, documentation, and collaboration across the company.
- Keep laboratory management and key project stakeholders updated on progress.
- Follow good laboratory practices and safety procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field preferred.
- Strong creative thinking, technical writing, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of handling multiple projects at once.
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, and ratios to real-world situations.
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, hot plates, propeller mixers, etc.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
