Integral to our success is a Principal Process Engineer that will be responsible for leading process efforts of engineering and taking initiative in improving technology commercialization! The ideal candidate will be well-versed in chemical engineering principles, with specific expertise in simulation, equipment sizing calculations, and techno-economic evaluations for early phase EPC projects. Previous experience and comfortability leading project technical teams is preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead process engineering of module development and product deployments.
  • Supervise, review, and approve process engineering related design documents such as simulation, P&ID, controls narrative, equipment sizing and process datasheets.
  • Lead meetings (kick-off, client review, vendor drawing review) and support prototype demo tests.
  • Develop design guidelines, procedures, and process tools and train the team how to use them.
  • Act as a liaison between process engineering team, internal stakeholders, external vendors and partners to promote technology development and deployments.
  • Participate in safety review meetings including PHA, HAZOPs, MOC, and PSSR.
  • Fosters innovation by contributing in patents, better work processes, and product integration.
  • Able to influence and align colleagues, management, and clients on both technical resolutions and new ideas.

Requirements

Our Ideal Principal Process Engineer Will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and possess 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess a PhD degree and has accumulated 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles.
  • Has a good understanding of process safety principles and standards.
  • Exhibits a strong competence with process simulation and equipment sizing.
  • Has successfully led a group of process engineers in delivering PDP and FEED packages, particularly for pilot plant design for facility design or pilot skid.
  • Exhibits the ability to supervise and mentor team members in project or process engineering.
  • Has a track record of engaging effectively with clients, partners, and internal employees in engineering or technology development work.
  • Displays an aptitude for initiating and implementing new projects.
  • Possesses the capability to introduce new knowledge and design tools.
  • Shows decisiveness in the area of process engineering and is able to make prompt decisions.

The salary pay range for this position is $149,194 to $163,589. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in Houston, TX. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
