POSITION SUMMARY
Using Kiwiplan, must schedule orders for the production floor for all machines (flexo folder gluers, rotary, etc) using.
Schedules the line up for the corrugator .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* team work effort and involvement in order to meet all goals;
* Walks floor to see how orders are running and stay updated.
* Schedules programs for corrugator equipment and production lines using Kiwiplan.
* Lines up orders for the converting machines
* Discuss new orders and new items in meetings with design and customer service(s) .
* Help increase efficiency on all machines.
* Works with customer service to expedite hot orders.
* Establishes forecast of orders and programs that need to be sent to the machines.
* Evaluate hours needed per shift in case of necessary overtime.
* Communicates with all supervisors about machine schedules
* Order roll for stock inventory.
* Receive rolls in PUTTY
* Check rolls in transit (watch limbo rolls , etc. )
* Check EDI errors .
* Follow-up on machine lineups
* Check error on suspect data .
* Inform GM or PM for any question or concerns.
* End of month Roll Stock questions or comments
Coordinate needs, schedules and issues with team members in both the US and Mexico facilities.
Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Due to the unique environment, there is no flex on the need for someone to come out of the corrugated industry and for proficiency in the use of Kiwiplan. This person will interface regularly with plant management in both the US and Mexico, to be able to create and adjust the scheduling of production, to include the specific machines and processes with their respective capacities and capabilities, inventory of raw materials and client needs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience: 2+ years in production environment, in a corrugated box plant.
Computer Skills: MUST Be Proficient in Kiwiplan!
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Other Requirements: Bilingual, able to communicate with team members in the US and Mexico.
