Full Job Description
ROGERCO, Inc. (RCI) is looking for a skilled Personnel Security Specialist to join our team supporting the Army Futures Command (AFC). The ideal Personnel Security Specialist will have experience with security and force protection principles that they can use to assist with and contribute to security protection efforts for AFC HQ directorates, subordinate commands, research laboratories, and more. An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security and force protection principles and practices.
Requirements
- Responsible for the execution of the PERSEC system of record, Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Provide in-person PERSEC customer service to HQ Austin to include badge issuance, credentialing, and maintenance, in and out processing, incoming and outgoing visit certification, and clearance verifications
- As the first Security professional to be seen at the AFC space on the 15th floor of the UTS, this position will represent the initial face of security to the Command and requires excellent customer service skills
- This person will support HQ AFC’s visitor program by issuing and retrieving visitor badges, escorting personnel, and answering questions
- Assists with badging, physical security, anti-terrorism, emergency management planning, and OPSEC
- Supports the PERSEC Program Manager and maintains knowledge of security regulations, local SOPs, AFC command structure, and changes to the PERSEC tools necessary for the execution of the position, including DISS
- Management of training requirements and platforms such as Army Training Requirements and Resources Systems (ATRRS), Digital Management Training System (DTMS), and Total Employee Development (TED)
- Contribute to the development of physical security measures to safeguard AFC personnel and assets.
- Support the development and execution of Anti-Terrorism (AT) and emergency management plans specific to AFC.
- Assist in creating and maintaining Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans and Emergency Preparedness Programs (EPP) for AFC.
- Implement and monitor Operational Security (OPSEC) measures to protect sensitive information within AFC.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure the confidentiality of critical operations within the command
Qualifications:
- Location: Austin, TX (This is an in-person position)
- Education: AA/AS from an accredited college or technical school
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years direct, relevant PERSEC experience
- Languages: English
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active DoD Clearance required
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Knowledge of the Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP)
- Knowledge of electronic access control systems using badges or tokens
- Ability to prepare and/or edit written correspondence, ensuring proper use of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to maintain a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate verbally clearly with at least a cursory understanding of either military or civilian protocol when supporting senior or VIP personnel
- Possess demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a small team environment
- Training requirement: All annual training for personnel with security clearances as well as any environmental or other new mandatory training requirements
