Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and examinations of patients from infancy through adolescence.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric illnesses and conditions in a timely manner.
  • Guide parents and guardians on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices for their children.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Keep accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, documenting treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in community outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of pediatric health issues.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a pediatric residency program recognized by the ACGME.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics or eligibility for board certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
