Channel Ship Services Limited (CSS) is currently seeking a talented and experienced Offshore Surveyor to join our team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various offshore survey projects, using cutting-edge technologies and equipment. As an Offshore Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing survey data to support offshore operations and ensure the safety and efficiency of maritime activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct offshore surveys using various survey equipment and software.
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data to produce accurate and detailed charts, maps, and reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data and deliverables.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other surveyors, engineers, and project teams to provide technical support and expertise.
- Monitor and report on the progress and status of survey projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre and post-survey checks to ensure survey equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Provide training and guidance to junior surveyors and crew members.
Requirements
- Experience with 4DNAV and Sonardyne Fusion2.
- Proven experience as an offshore surveyor, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Proficient in using survey equipment and software, such as GPS, sonar systems, and GIS software.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, data processing, and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work in remote locations and offshore environments.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
- Offshore certification and training (e.g., BOSIET) preferred.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
