Builder / Construction Superintendent Position
Hedgefield Homes is looking for outstanding individuals to become candidates for our On-Your-Lot Builder position. Our Builders work directly with our customers every step of the way during the production of their custom home. and they have the opportunity to hone their expertise in site work development, trade partner training, and quality improvement. If you’re looking for a position that will stretch you and further your career, this is it.
The ideal candidate can maintain excellent relationships with homeowners, co-workers, and trade partners always; and supervise the quality construction of multiple custom homes. You will be responsible for quality control, scheduling, training trade partners, and maintaining good relationships with our customers.
Hedgefield Homes Builders deliver quality homes on time while continually providing outstanding customer experience. Strong communication skills and a background in construction and customer relations are strongly desired. College coursework, trade experience, or a construction management degree is an additional asset but is not required. Employment is contingent on a background check and a clean driving record.

Requirements
- Embody and promote Hedgefield Homes's core values in all aspects of the job.
- Manage all construction phases, from groundbreaking to final walkthrough, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
- Schedule all work directly with subcontractors and manage material orders, deliveries, and installation directly with vendors using a 2-week forward schedule to ensure continuous workflow.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, trades, and construction teams on-site, ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards.
- Support the pre-construction process through site work estimates, planning, Job Start Meetings, etc.
- Maintain excellent communication with homebuyers, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions throughout the building process.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality, compliance with plans, and city code requirements.
- Ensure homes are delivered 100% complete at internal delivery, maintaining adherence to high standards.
- Perform daily site walks and phase inspections thoroughly and routinely to ensure ongoing quality and progress.
- Maintain a clean, orderly job site, truck, and office space.
- Work closely with Customer Care Representatives to facilitate the prompt and professional completion of warranty calls.
- Deliver homes within time targets, avoiding delays and ensuring project milestones are met on schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, inspection logs
- Hire and develop new Trade Partners, support their performance, and establish clear scopes and specifications to ensure consistency.
- Maintain a high and professional level of communication internally, and externally with clients.
- Collaborate with sales and pre-construction teams as needed to facilitate marketing and sales activity.
