Full Job Description

As a member of Neuro Performance and Injury Center medical team, the Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients and other healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will be a bilingual certified medical assistant with experience in a clinical setting, strong attention to detail, ability to multiple task and excellent communication skills.

·       Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the provider during exams.

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR)

·       Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients

·       Communicate with patients and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure that all necessary information is collected.

·       Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, managing patient schedules, and processing insurance claims.

·       Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

·       Bilingual English/Spanish

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program

·       Proficient in Medical Terminology

·       Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in neurology.

·       Experience in eCW (preferred not required)

·       Experience with EEG, VNG, and Right Eye (preferred not required)

·       Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations, including HIPAA.

·      Ability to use MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

·       Proficiency in electronic health records (HER) and other computer programs.

·       Ability to embrace, manage diversity and build and maintain successful teams.

·       Effectively interact with people and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful, and direct in communication.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced work environment.
