Full Job Description
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will provide engineering support for maintenance and reliability team to address plant issues that are impacting production over a short period of time. You will provide technical expertise, which may be equipment, based or repair technique based that impacts the availability and maintainability of the facility. This role requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.
Requirements
Knowledgeable on specification, design review and technical project evaluation in industrial environments.
Experienced in Project Management, Coordination of contractors and inspection of the part of the project under his responsibility.
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Specification and implementation of projects involving raw-material handling of Iron Ore, Pellets, Coal or similar materials in heavy industry settings. Experienced on material handling equipment such as Conveyor Belts, Stackers, Reclaimers, Train Loading Stations, etc. (Mandatory)
Industries where they may developing such projects in addition to Steelmaking:- Heavy industries such as, Aluminum, Mining, Food.- Top engineering and construction companies working for the previously mentioned industries (e.g. IKA, FLUOR, KIEWIT, HATCH USA, BECHTEL, etc.)
Requirements
Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering Degree
5 Years Maintenance/Engineering experience in heavy manufacturing facility preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Multi-lingual preferred, English (required)
Should be Detail oriented with proven analytical and Proactive problem-solving approach
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Solid knowledge & understanding of hydraulics, Pneumatics and rotating equipment
