M365 and Azure Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced M365 and Azure Engineer to oversee the management and optimization of our Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft 365, proficiency in setting up robust security measures, and managing device policies through Intune. Additionally, the role demands strong capabilities in managing Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Microsoft 365 Management: Oversee the administration of the Microsoft 365 suite, ensuring optimal configuration, maintenance, and operation of all aspects, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Security Implementation: Work with our security department to develop and implement security policies and configurations across the Microsoft 365 environment to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with industry standards.
• Intune Administration: Manage and configure Intune for mobile device management and mobile application management, ensuring secure and efficient operation of company mobile devices.
• Azure Infrastructure Management: Utilize IaC tools to provision, manage, and scale Azure cloud resources efficiently. Ensure that all cloud services meet the company’s operational requirements for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Adjust configurations as needed to maintain security standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of M365 services with other IT systems. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the[BM1]  benefits of Microsoft 365 applications.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate the performance of M365 and Azure services. Implement improvements to enhance reliability, functionality, and efficiency.

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including service outages or disruptions. Lead root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced certifications in Microsoft technologies (such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly desirable.
• Strong experience in managing and administering Microsoft 365 environments, with in-depth knowledge of all its components.
• Proven ability to implement and manage security and compliance measures in Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and other stakeholders within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to train and support users in adopting new technologies.

The pay range for this role is between $145,000 - $165,000 (base). Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons.
