Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join our vibrant team and help us to spread the joy of gardening! If you have relevant experience and are passionate about sustainable living and making a difference, we would love to have you on our team!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Transportation Coordination: Oversee transportation operations, including carrier selection, route planning, and freight cost management.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to negotiate contracts and improve service levels. 
  • Strategic Cost Leveraging: Negotiate shipping prices and discounts, strategize to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor logistics staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring adherence to best industry practices.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, trade policies, tariffs, and safety standards; conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Extensive working knowledge of UPS/DHL, LTL and Ocean Freight.
  • E-commerce background preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiar with pricing structures of major domestic and international logistics vendors, with the ability to analyze shipping costs based on shipping volume. 
  • Comprehension of the logistics auditing process. Capable of finding discrepancies between the quote and the invoice, and knowing how to dispute incorrect charges with logistics providers. 
  • Proficient knowledge of auditing software to analyze cost saving and efficiency.

Physical Demands:

This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.

Job Location and Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
  • 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.

  • The salary range is $75,000 - $100,000.
