We specialize in various loan types, including FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo, and USDA loans, ensuring that our clients receive the best financing options tailored to their needs. We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Loan Specialist to join our team and assist in originating and processing loans
The Loan Specialist, will work closely with designated Loan Officers to facilitate the loan processing process. The primary responsibilities will include auditing loan applications for completeness, collecting necessary information, and ensuring that all loan transactions adhere to regulatory guidelines. Loan Specialist play a crucial role in obtaining and reviewing documentation, preparing loan documents for underwriting, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders involved in the loan process. Duties include
- Verify and complete the initial loan application.
- Request required documents, including follow-up if needed.
- Calculate income in order to validate.
- Prepare loan documents for submission to Underwriting.
- Run AUS and review findings.
- Primary point of contact for phone calls.
- Preparation of initial disclosure package.
- Pipeline management, including scheduled pipeline reviews, daily tracking and weekly status calls to customers.
- Utilization of designated Sales tools and reporting methods.
- Maintain all correspondence for loan transactions with Realtors, Builders, Title Agents, Borrowers and Third Party Vendors
- Ensure LOS system is always updated with current status and correct product.
- Review and prepare loan for closing final documents to be drawn, and work with the title company on approving a final Closing Disclosure
- Pipeline review of loan files between 10 – 15 units per month, funding 8 – 12 units
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage processing.
- Knowledge and understanding of the lending process, federal and state law, and various loan products and guidelines.
- NMLS license preferred
Skills:
- Must be proficient at scanning, attaching documents, web-related research, various computer software and strong computer knowledge overall
- Mathematical proficiency
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage one’s time
- Strong phone contact skills, active listening, problem resolution and ability build and maintain rapport
- Customer service orientation and creative thinking to find appropriate/alternative programs for unique situations
- Demonstrated ability to gather data from multiple sources, test assumptions, evaluate alternatives and recommend action
