Full Job Description
Apex Informatics is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Linux operating systems and experience in system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Linux-based applications and services, ensure system security and compliance, and provide technical support to users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software on servers and workstations.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Linux-based applications and services.
• Implement and maintain system security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Linux systems administration.
Requirements
Requirements:
5+ years of industry experience in extensive Linux experience, especially with Oracle Linux, RHEL CentOS etc.
Strong debugging skills are a must. Familiarity with kernel debugging is a plus.
Good understanding of the administration of Linux systems and storage technologies.
Hands-on experience with the design and deployment of storage fabric
Experience in one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java
Automation and config management skills using Puppet, Ansible, etc.
Experience with large installment systems.
Experience with revision control systems like GitHub, CI/CD unit testing, and configuration management systems.
Understanding OS, Systems security/encryption
Experience with Containerization tools Kubernetes/docker
Experience on Cloud AWS
Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
