Job Overview:
A mid-senior level IT Test Engineer is needed to lead Test Engineering teams, ensuring quality assurance through test planning, automation, and execution. The role involves developing, releasing, and maintaining test procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevOps environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead system integration testing for newly developed or enhanced applications, with a focus on automation.
- Review requirements and design artifacts, ensuring extensive test coverage for cloud applications.
- Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive test strategies.
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks in a Continuous Integration (CI) environment.
- Define and maintain test automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies for Agile teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, and DevOps teams.
- Provide mentorship to junior test engineers, verifying and reviewing their work.
- Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Act as a domain expert for applications under responsibility, ensuring seamless system integration and performance improvements.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in test engineering and automation.
- Proficiency in Java application automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cucumber BDD, TestNG, Rest Assured API, and JUnit.
- Strong web development background (JavaScript, HTML, XML).
- Experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse, Java, JavaScript, and database management systems (DB2, Oracle).
- Expertise in Linux/Unix scripting and SQL query writing.
- Experience in automation across software layers (UI, services, APIs) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Jira, Cucumber).
- Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodologies and experience in onsite/offshore coordination.
- Background in test engineering methodologies, automation frameworks, and front-end/backend testing.
- Strong ability to estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities.
