Bakery Agency is currently seeking in Austin for a conceptual, collaborative, and energetic Junior Art Director. This role is perfect for someone who has learned the ropes of an agency structure through previous agency internships and is looking for a chance to exhibit their ambitious ideas and outstanding design judgment.
Our Junior ADs work collaboratively with a Junior Copywriter partner to achieve the highest possible standards for creative solutions across all channels.

Responsibilities
- Develop brave, smart ideas that are on strategy
- Work collaboratively with a creative partner to concept and execute original ideas in an efficient, organized way
- Lead and contribute to the design of a variety of creative materials for brand campaigns, social media efforts, and digital efforts
- Present ideas to internal teams in a strategic, comprehensive manner in order to sell them through
- Ensure all work is visually impeccable
- Take direction and guidance from creative leaders on the development of your work and the best paths to rework or improve it
- Have a focused eye for innovation, informing the company of the next biggest thing that can positively affect our client's business
- Elevate your creative partner's work the way we expect them to elevate yours
- Form a relationship of respect and trust with your senior team
Requirements
- 0 to approximately 1 year of experience at a creative agency; internship experience at respected agencies.
- Portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in conceptual thinking and visual design
- A restlessly creative mind is a must! At Bakery we’re asked to innovate on a regular basis, not tread the beaten path. This means you must have opinions and ideas, along with a voice to express them properly and within the context of a brief
- Good understanding of how an agency creative team functions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- A ton of energy and passion for creative agency work
- Hungry to constantly listen, learn, and grow
- Excellent oral and written skills
- General knowledge of tech platforms and their limitations
