Job Title: CDL Class A Delivery Driver

Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

Location: Houston, TX

Pay: $1250-$1350 per week

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Logistics Driver timely and efficiently transports shipping containers, grocery items, or other goods between the Port of Houston and other locations mostly in the Houston metro area. Some deliveries may require dropoff in locations within Texas requiring a single night layover in a company provided hotel room.

• Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday
• Multi-Touch Freight
• $1250-$1350/week (5 days)

Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

• Routine lifting/moving of up to 65 pounds, occasional lifting of heavier amounts.
• Perform appropriate load and paperwork inspections including but not limited to product counts, invoices of products that have been loaded, quality checks and other related items as required.
• Complete all routes within delivery windows in a timely and courteous manner.
• Check-in/out all shipping containers at customer site against customer's invoice.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions (e.g., rain, heat, fog).
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Willing to work additional hours, holidays, and weekends as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to safely operate Tractor/Trailer Combination and Bobtail truck.
• Newer Day Cabs with 53' trailers.
• Maintain a valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Class A Driver’s License required. Experience driving a manual transmission vehicle is required.
• At least 1 year experience driving a tractor/trailer combination vehicle with a 53' trailer.
• Able to successfully complete a background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) for port access.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Satisfactory MVR and driving history.
