Full Job Description
Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are seeking an experienced fire protection inspections manager for Firetrol’s district office in Houston, Texas.
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the fire inspections department in the Houston district office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supervise the inspectors
- Check inspection reports for accuracy
- Handle high volume of phone calls and emails
- Order tools and materials for the inspections team as needed
- Handle customer communications
- Provide training as needed to inspectors
- Tech Training and development
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled on a timely matter
- Monitor productivity and improve productivity as needed
- Assess manpower needs to support delivery of contractual obligations
- Work with inspection coordinator to ensure inspections are scheduled in a timely manner.
- Other responsibilities as required to support the business
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in the fire protection industry
- Ability to analyze inspection reports and deficiencies
- Knowledge of local and national fire code requirements.
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
- Attention to detail is a must
- Outstanding professional communication skills – written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills – for interacting with customers and employees alike
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and ServiceTrade software preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to multiple business software platforms
- Possess valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work a full-time schedule
- Available for local/regional travel occasionally, which may include nights and weekends to accommodate customer's schedule.
