Position Summary

The Inside Sales Project Coordinator is a technical and analytical role that functions within the Inside Sales team. This position provides inquiry and order management to our Outside Sales team and sales representatives globally for inquiries and orders deemed to be a project. Projects are decided based on the commercial and technical specification requirements and manages these assigned projects from time of quotation through final shipment. This position also collects and analyzes information/data to enhance our sales team’s proficiency and ensure our customer’s experience is successful.

What You'll Do

  • Create Project templates to establish consistency throughout the project process. Review inquiry package. Identify, understand, and evaluate customer’s commercial requirements, technical specifications, and drawings of the project.
  • Work with the local representative and regional sales management to develop a complete proposal package including commercial comments, pricing, sizing, selection, all testing, data, and material requirements. Required to participate in establishing and maintaining data book charges.
  • Provide training on project templates, project process and expectations to our Rep network. (Specifically for New Business)
  • Work closely with quality, engineering, planning, purchasing / procurement, manufacturing, finance and legal to ensure all requirements are identified, understood, and documented appropriately on the quote and order. Send various specifications to the responsible functional areas for review and comments ensuring quotations are submitted in the timeframe required by our customer.
  • Establish and lead required Project meetings to review current project quotes and lead inquiry review meeting(s) as required to ensure all potential issues are identified and addressed prior to quotation submittal if the inquiry cannot wait for the next weekly meeting.
  • Review purchase order requirements to the proposal. Work with the sales representative and regional management to clarify and correct all discrepancies between the purchase order and the quotation.
  • Establish and attend required pre-manufacturing meeting with all functional areas to ensure all requirements of qualified projects are understood and that relevant owners are assigned to each task. Track each project with manufacturing on a project progress report to ensure each step is on track and on time until the project has shipped to the customer.
  • Participate in pre-manufacturing and pre-inspection meetings that may be required by the customer.
  • Ensure all project requirements are met including submittal drawings, Quality documents, instruction manuals, production schedules, spare parts list etc.
  • Assist in day-to-day sales area or other duties as assigned based on workload and business needs.
  • Provide progress reports (Gantt charts) to customers as requested from information obtained from all functional areas gathered from the progress reports in the status meetings. Communicate updates to the customer, local representative, and regional sales team as needed.
  • Track Global number of projects won, and the dollar amount associated with that by division. (Coordinating with the international offices for their information) Assist with global project management, being a liaison between the international project teams and the local plants as needed.

What You Bring to the Table

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years’ sales experience in a company or industry that sells through manufacturers’ representatives; experience with the sale of pressure relief products is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully us e company CPQ and ERP system, Microsoft, Windows and Office, Good math skills, Knowledge of units of measure, Problem solving skills, Proven track record of requirement follow-up, Excellent reading skills, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to read basic submittal drawings, Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and processes, Excellent organizational skills

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
