Infrastructure Engineer

Kahuna Workforce Solutions is seeking a mid-career hire Infrastructure Engineer focused on infrastructure provisioning and application deployment of our proprietary software, Kahuna, that bridges the gap between core human resources processes and operational development to satisfy the requirements for competency assurance and competency development. 

As a Kahuna Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll design and implement infrastructure as code for infrastructure provisioning and application deployments. The Infrastructure Engineer requires a strong Linux, Kubernetes and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline and software engineering practices skill set.  The ideal candidate is an accountable team player who is eager to make an impact.

• Maintain, monitor and operate our current infrastructure
• Revise and enhance code for existing deployments
• Introduce innovative features into our CI/CD pipelines
• Execute the operations playbook as code for infrastructure
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm, explore options, and devise solutions
• Work closely with the engineering team to design new features that ensure flexible and robust deployments across all environments
• Understand existing infrastructure and application environments
• Comply with the company's information security and privacy policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines

Requirements

• Proficient in Linux system administration

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployments, statefulsets, cron jobs, and more
• Working knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services
• Working knowledge of Terraform and Kustomize
• Competence in managing NGINX
• Outstanding verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Proven time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines
• Eager to embrace and learn new technologies
• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (Bachelor's or Master's)
