Our client, a rapidly growing company in healthcare, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join their team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day human resource support for all clinical and non-clinical personnel based out of the company's headquarters in Addison, TX. The Human Resources Director will ensure compliance with human resource policies and procedures, employee relations, compensation, training, and state and federal labor law while supporting the management team to achieve business objectives and execute people strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and support to supervisors, managers, and HR Administrators regarding the correct application of company policy, performance management, discipline, and coaching
- Protect the interests of both employees and the company in accordance with policies, governmental laws, and regulations
- Ensure all federal, state, local laws, and corporate HR-related compliance matters are proactively managed, including ADA, EEO, and FMLA programs
- Interview candidates with hiring managers to provide input and guidance in the talent selection process
- Manage new recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
- Conduct internal investigations with employee complaints and work closely with executive leadership
- Manage employee leave of absences, including personal, medical, and FMLA/CFRA
- Assist with the development and recommendation of human resources policies and procedures
- Assist with Payroll by reviewing timesheets and editing punches for Full-Time employees and temp agency timesheet submissions
- Review terminations and conduct exit interviews
- Support implementation and transition to new HRIS system
- Process unemployment claims and wage orders accordingly
- Maintain employee's confidential personnel folders
- Assist with training programs and ensure employee compliance
- Maintain human resource knowledge with state and federal law by attending webinars, seminars, and conferences
- Gather and analyze HR data and prepare HR reports as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of human resources experience
- Proven experience utilizing an HRIS/Timekeeping system, preferably Paycom
- Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, comfortable with change and ambiguity
- Knowledge of labor law compliance - STATE/FEDERAL, ADA, EEO, FMLA, CFRA, LOA, COBRA, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Proven experience utilizing Microsoft computer applications (O365)
