Gourmet Ranch - Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Team Member plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our USDA-inspected meat and poultry processing plant. This individual will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols. 

Requirements

• Embody the company’s mission, core values, and commitment to food safety. 
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment. 
• Use computerized inventory systems to monitor inventory counts. 
• Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotations for meat and poultry products. 
• Understand and follow USDA segregation protocols for different species of meats and poultry. 
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse as well as loading and unloading truck trailers of shipments. 
• Safely handle and transport 60-80 lb cases of meat and poultry using proper ergonomics. 
• Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and storage of products. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse as well as the shipping and receiving dock. 

Language Skills:  

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as load maps, labels, work instructions, and reports.  

• Ability to speak and communicate well with team members.  
• While not required, bilingual proficiency (especially in Spanish) is preferred to facilitate communication with a diverse team. 

Work Environment: 

• Be prepared to work in refrigerated conditions. 
• Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts based on workload demands.
