Compensation
- $75k - $95k, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical General Foreman will work closely with the Jobsite Foreman, Project Manager, and the Projects Team Manager in planning the project, tasking labor, and coordinating subcontractor work for construction projects. He is responsible for developing and maintaining a good working relationship with our General Contractors, and subcontracting partners. The General Foreman is also responsible for coordinating schedules with our General Contracts and subcontractors.
The General Foreman will represent the company by showing respect and belief in the common goal of everyone to get the job done on time and within budget. He must be able to take direction from the Projects Team Manager and then be able to delegate those duties to all others.
This person needs to have the ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications and have knowledge of construction sequencing as well as scheduling capabilities and familiarity with Procore project management software. He must have the ability to communicate with others and be capable of giving directions in a way that others will understand.
Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set an example for others to follow in all areas of the work including safety, company policies, attitude, conduct, and dress.
- Can perform all duties of Jobsite Foreman to counsel and guide Jobsite Foreman as needed.
- Reports job progress and problems to management regularly, accurately, and objectively.
- Understand electrical, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans. Plan well in advance how to avoid space conflicts with the other trades.
- Provides schedule input for planning and updates. When schedule dates slip or change, provide solutions for recovery to get the work back on schedule without causing project delays.
- Confers with the Project Manager and General Contractor on questions regarding the interpretation of plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintains a strong understanding of the electrical code.
- Knows which contractors have responsibility for various parts of the job.
- Knows the estimated time that was budgeted to do each task, and whether it can be done most efficiently with one worker, two, or a larger crew.
- Anticipates as far in advance as possible the need to increase or decrease the workforce. Advises the Project Manager of the tentative schedule of manpower needs and changes in the schedule as promptly as can be determined.
- Determines and enforces a fair and adequate standard of workmanship and productivity for Jobsite Foreman.
- Supervises employees in the performance of work, following safety rules, and adhering to company policies and procedures. Coaches and counsels Jobsite Foreman as necessary. Recommends disciplinary action when needed.
- Ensures employees comply with all the terms of the Employee Handbook, Company Rules, and Policy, Safety & Health Guide, starting work on time, and remaining productive.
- Knows and strictly enforces all job and company safety rules, sets a good example of safe practices, promptly corrects any potential hazard that can be corrected, and reports other hazards immediately to the Safety Manager.
