Texas Health Action seeks an experienced Financial Analyst who will be supervised by the Finance Manager and take responsibility for performing complex forecasting and analytical functions in support of strategic planning and growth; decision support; and financial and key performance metrics reporting.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Remote work is allowed, but the incumbent must reside in the state of Texas and will occasionally be required to attend meetings and perform certain portions of its duties on-site at our administrative headquarters in Austin, Texas. Please note that this job posting may appear in multiple regions, but there is only one position to be filled. All postings will be removed once the position has been filled.
What you'll do:
- Compile and deliver timely 340B reporting and analysis to the accounting and financial leadership team. Provide insights as to key drivers of performance and recommendations based off careful analysis.
- Participate in the development and detailed review of operational and capital budgets. Provide analysis and prepare templates as part of the annual budgeting process. Assess risk tolerance of key budget drivers.
- Assist Finance Manager with report development and presentations for quarterly meetings with department directors.
- Participate in the process of evaluating organizational readiness for revenue cycle activities. Work closely with respective departments to address claims billing, provider credentialing, and financial compliance issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain data driven, multi-year forecasting models related to agency performance and finances.
- Compile management reports that blend key performance metrics and financial data. Identify any variances which might present opportunity or risk. Conduct month-end review of reports with Finance Manager, providing additional insight and recommendations.
- Ensure proper and timely filing of reports and documents related to 340B, claims billing, or other regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate the collaborative development and detailed review of operational and capital budgets. Assess risk tolerance of key budget drivers.
- Work closely with accounting team to assist with the review and proper coding of transactions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality to ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safe guarded against improper disclosure.
- Perform other duties and contribute to other projects as assigned.
Compensation
Based on job duties and requirements, this analyst position is placed in salary band 45 with an hourly pay range of $28.79 to $33.54. Initial placement within this range will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Education & Experience
Education and/or Licensure – Bachelor’s degree in business (or a business-related field) and at least two years of relevant experience related to the duties of the job. Additional related experience may substitute for required education.

- Experienced database and spreadsheet power user.
- Knowledgeable in the financial accounting process.
- Must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with healthcare revenues including, claims billing and 340B Pharmacy Program.
- Advanced Excel user, with knowledge of pivot tables, lookups, nestled if statements, graphs, etc.
- Not afraid to contemplate, and apply, the most relevant analytical methods for any facet of your life.
- Successful at gathering and disseminating information via both written and verbal communication.
- Not afraid of the fine details but can also see the big picture.
- Must demonstrate a high level of time management skills and an ability to work well cross-functionally throughout the organization.
- Work independently but understand when it is prudent to seek outside expertise or advice in order meet or beat deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Must have basic PC skills that include a combination of working in a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
- Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills; Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse people groups.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English; Additional language abilities desirable. Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively interact with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organizations.
- Ability to apply time management practices to prioritize, schedule and complete work effectively to comply with mandated policies and deadlines.

- Usually works forty (40) hours per week, some weekends may be required.
