Job Overview
The Finance and Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the company, ensuring its continued growth and success. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, accounting, and operations management within the consulting industry.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking partners
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at the executive level
- Operational Leadership
- Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity across the organization
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations
- Oversee project management and resource allocation to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of financial and operational strategies
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and operations teams
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members
- Strategic Planning
- Participate in setting overall business strategy as a member of the executive team
- Identify opportunities for business growth and cost optimization
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships from a financial and operational perspective
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and operations roles
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position within the consulting industry
- Skills and Competencies
- Strong financial acumen and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
