Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and safety of our manufacturing plant. This role involves managing facility resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing operational efficiency to support production goals.
Job Duties:
· Manage all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
· Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
· Monitor facility compliance with safety and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and training.
· Manage facility budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational needs and optimize workflows.
· Implement energy management initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
· Develop and maintain facility policies and procedures to ensure operational continuity.
· Lead and mentor facility maintenance staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and coordinate responses to emergencies.
Requirements
- HS Diploma required
- Five-plus years of experience in facility management in a manufacturing environment required
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance required
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations applicable to a manufacturing facility required
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required
- Proficiency in MS Office suite required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required
- Alignment with company core values required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices preferred
- Certification in facility management IFMA or BOMA preferred
- Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives preferred
