Job Summary:
Panelmatic is a well-established manufacturer of control panels, relay panels, and integrated control buildings in North America. We are looking for the right candidate to fit into our dynamic team. Our organization is seeking a skilled estimator with a highly trained eye for detail to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for evaluating project requirements and producing detailed on-time cost estimates for Panelmatic projects. This role requires an understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards. The electrical estimator collaborates with Sales, Project Managers, Engineering, and Product Managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
In this position, you will be able to help support our company’s vision of delivering products of the highest quality to our customers within their specifications, timeframe, and budget. This position reports to the Corporate Estimating Manager.
Job Duties:
• Create an estimate using Estimating software from customer supplied specifications and drawings
• Interface closely with Sales, customers, project managers and product managers on clarifying scope
• Create bills of material from electrical drawings and/or wiring diagrams
• Obtain quotes with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal supply chain to secure favorable pricing
• Create a proposal letter to be delivered to customer inclusive of BOM, pricing, and delivery date
• Input and maintain information listed in the database/ERP and CRM system for all quotes
• Meet quoting output requirements and on time delivery of proposals
• Fill in customer forms and bid sheets as required
• Follows company best practices in quality, safety, and communication
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or a GED equivalent required
• Two-plus years of experience in Estimating required
• Two-plus years of experience in Salesforce/CRM required
• Computer skills including MS Office experience with Excel and Access required
• Basic understanding of industrial codes, such as, NEC, UL, IBC, etc. required
• Communication skills (verbal and written) required
• Analytical thinking required
• Attention to detail required
• Organizational and planning skills required
• Customer service centric required

• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 26lbs or more required
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree in engineering or related field preferred
• Experience in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings preferred
