About the Company:

We have partnered with a leading HDTV company and America's top sound bar brand and we are seeking a visionary and seasoned Manager for their OS Development and Embedded Engineering team.

This role is pivotal in helping our client's quest to innovate and excel in the tech industry, particularly within the realms of high-definition televisions and sound systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about embedded systems, software development, and Consumer electronics.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and Empower: Build and manage a robust technical team to meet and exceed our strategic objectives. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Strategic Influence: Play a key role in product ideation stages, offering critical input on architecture and design. Drive the creation of new products and enhance the performance of existing ones through insightful engineering solutions.
  • Project Mastery: Develop comprehensive engineering plans, ensuring resource optimization and adherence to timelines. Oversee all technical processes and systems, guaranteeing compliance with the highest industry standards.
  • Technological Savvy: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the team, encouraging continuous learning and innovation.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Establish and nurture productive relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring synergistic collaboration and mutual growth.

Requirements

About You:

    • Experience & Expertise: You have at least 8 years of leadership experience in engineering, with a proven track record in the design, architecture, and release management of consumer electronics or embedded devices.
    • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also respected.
    • Technical Proficiency: Exceptional skills in C, C++11, with Rust being a considerable plus. Expertise in HAL layer design, IPC, multi-threading, and debugging. Familiarity with Shell-Script, Makefile, Python, git, JIRA.
    • Leadership Qualities: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You are self-motivated, proactive, and an exemplary team player.
    • Specialization: Expertise in DRM, toolchain/makefile/cmake/build environment setups, or OpenGL applications is highly desirable.
