Full Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer,you will have the opportunity to apply and expand your engineering, project management and people leadership skills in Electrical Engineering for our municipal clients. Our successful practice will benefit from additional experienced talent to work collaboratively with the team in our Houston offices. This opportunity is for someone that likes to work hands-on and assist the team from conceptual design through final design and construction. Depending on experience you may also aid, or provide a leadership role, to less experienced engineers.
Projects vary at Quiddity and can include various electrical design projects including water/wastewater, lighting, SCADA and stormwater. We need a minimum of 2 years’ experience with electrical systems – experience with water or municipal water treatment facilities is ideal.
The Electrical Engineer:
· uses basic engineering concepts, practices and techniques for projects or work sites. Develops or reviews plans and specifications for routine projects or, under the guidance of a senior engineer, for more complex projects.
· possesses technical work experience which includes design calculations, researching design options, writing and reviewing technical reports, cost estimates, schedules, CAD drafting and arranging permitting requirements.
· provides construction drawings including electrical site plans, one-line diagrams, conduit schedules and other related electrical equipment installation details.
· has strong project task management skills to meet deliverables within Quiddity’s quality standards and client requirements.
· applies knowledge of engineering conditions, laws and permitting organizations such as city, state and county entities and utilities. Can research, identify and apply permitting process and code requirements to engineering projects.
· participates in design meetings and interacts with or provides support for client and stakeholder communications.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
· Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or PE in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems in Texas or ability to obtain
· Valid TX driver’s license & insurable driving record
· Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering field
