Dispatcher

ALL TEX Staffing is hiring Dispatchers to coordinate on-time pick-up and delivery of loads. This role is essential to keeping the business operating effectively.

Dispatchers actively support the operations and logistics by tracing loads/shipments, managing freight volume. In the performance of these duties, the dispatcher exercises independent judgement, largely without direct supervision, in determining when/where/how/and what is required to either pick up or deliver a load, which requires real-time decision-making by the dispatcher.

Essential Functions:

· Ensures all driver loads are ready, covered and on time, for a quick process.

· Confirms drivers have the right equipment, and paperwork for their pick-ups

· Collect and verify needed paperwork for loads is accurate.

· Traces loads/shipments Manages freight volume if issues arise.

· Performs or serves as back up for yard checks Issues keys, record sheets and credentials to drivers

· Prepares tracking reports for customers

· Issues disciplinary action for drivers that violate company policy.

· Communicates with customers and customer service management regarding scheduling appointments and problems that arise with pick-up or delivery of loads; works to ensure customer is satisfied.

· Enters customer loads into system; updates loads when drivers call in.

· Plans drivers’ dispatch, assigns loads to drivers according to business needs and driver capabilities

· Communicates with drivers to provide dispatch instructions.

· Assists drivers in resolving complex issues

· Coordinates with other terminals to meet customer needs and ensure all pick-ups are made.

· Maintains record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made and other expenses.

· Other duties as assigned

Shift: Monday -Friday 8 AM to 5 PM – must be flexible to travel between site locations and work extended workhours.

Pay Range: $15 - $18 (negotiable)

Work Location: Pasadena & Channelview (East Houston)

Requirements

Experience in the intermodal / logistics transportation industry: strongly preferred.

· Ability to use various computer systems. Including: word, excel, Microsoft, google sheets.

· Excellent Customer service – communication both written and verbal.

· Ability to ready and interprets business reports and daily logs.

· Ability to work under general supervision.

· Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis.

· Must be able to work in all locations; roughly 15 min, apart from each other.

· Flexible; able to work 8 to 12+ hours daily.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Bilingual (Preferred)

· Valid Driver’s License (preferred)

1 year experience (preferred)

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening: drug test, background check.
