The Data Engineer Supervisor at McLane Intelligent Solutions will play a pivotal role in leading our data engineering team, ensuring that our data architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with our business needs. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as the supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of data systems and processes. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment and mentor team members while also engaging with other departments to understand data requirements and drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to collect and define data requirements.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across data systems.
- Monitor and optimize data workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and career development.
- Oversee the integration of new data sources and systems with existing infrastructure.

Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (Master's degree is preferred).
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable position focused on data architecture and management.
- High proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline architectures.
- Familiarity with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Azure (including Data Lake).
- Proven track record in team leadership and management.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
