Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for families seeking information about hospice services.
- Answer inbound calls and emails, addressing inquiries related to care options and services.
- Assist families in the intake process, guiding them through the necessary steps.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to convey important patient information and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Manage and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism, always putting the needs of the families first.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions with clients and families.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client needs and improve service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or hospice environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to listen actively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.
- Empathetic nature and a genuine desire to support patients and families.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and correspondence.
