Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for families seeking information about hospice services.
  • Answer inbound calls and emails, addressing inquiries related to care options and services.
  • Assist families in the intake process, guiding them through the necessary steps.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to convey important patient information and ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Manage and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism, always putting the needs of the families first.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions with clients and families.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client needs and improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or hospice environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to listen actively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.
  • Empathetic nature and a genuine desire to support patients and families.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and correspondence.
