We are seeking our next Part-Time Customer Service Staff Specialist who will be all-in on our mission and who will provide administrative support and customer service to quickly and effectively solve customer needs of students, faculty, and staff daily.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Some college coursework.
EXPERIENCE
Required: One (1) year of experience working in a customer service roll in an office environment.
Preferred: Two (2) years of experience working in customer service roll in an office environment. Bilingual preferred.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide internal and external customer service requests to students, faculty and staff that comes in via phone, email, and in-person for Registrar Office services.
- Research, verify and provide degree, enrollment and other releasable information.
- Complete in-person and emailed requests for transcripts, diplomas, and enrollment verification.
- Complete assigned training, professional development, surveys, and evaluations.
- Prepare various program and/or departmental correspondence, letters, memos, forms, reports, manuals, databases, photocopies, and/or faxes.
- Assist faculty, students and administrative personnel with questions regarding processes and procedures handled by the Registrar’s Office.
- Ensure office space is organized and clean for guests and to maintain the integrity of important documents and records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to protect student privacy by adhering to FERPA, AC, state, and federal policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact with people on a professional manner.
- Ability to de-escalate situations and remain calm.
- Ability to work Microsoft Office products and familiarity with digital signing tools (Nitro, Adobe, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as team member.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Ability to create and maintain a warm and welcoming office and campus environment.
- Commitment to discretion and confidentiality concerning sensitive information.
- Knowledge of college and department policies and procedures, safety rules and regulations.

Salary: Amarillo College - Salary Schedules (actx.edu), Pay grade 6 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Conditions: Hours for this position are weekdays
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.
