Description:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans on patients while maintaining a safe environment and ensuring high-quality images. They accurately position patients, operate CT scanners, administer contrast agents, and review scan results. They demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, ensuring appropriate imaging techniques are employed to capture clear and accurate images. They efficiently enter and manage patient data, conduct quality assurance checks on equipment, and assist with accreditation applications. In the event of accidents or equipment malfunctions, they promptly report incidents to management. They have flexible scheduling and may handle emergency calls and administer diagnostic tests as necessary. Furthermore, they provide support for patient registration tasks and prioritize safety, compliance, and professional development. With a focus on patient education and care, they review orders, administer medications, and closely monitor patient conditions. They also ensure equipment readiness, troubleshoot malfunctions, and accurately perform imaging procedures, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and safety. The minimum qualifications for this position include graduating from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and holding relevant certifications in Basic or Advanced Life Support and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT).
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver patients with assistance to perform job functions effectively.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a CT Technologist.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
