We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee credit operations, develop credit policies, and manage risk for our financing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly monitor and manage credit reports for customers. Ensure that all credit reports are up to date and accurate.
- Conduct thorough credit checks using internal and external tools, including credit bureaus, to assess clients' creditworthiness.
- Analyze credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the risk involved in lending or extending credit.
- Evaluate the credit risk of clients and applicants by reviewing their financial history, current financial condition, and potential for repayment.
- Work closely with other departments (such as sales, finance, and risk management) to assess credit situations and make informed decisions. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to relevant teams.
- Prepare and present detailed credit reports and summaries for senior management and stakeholders. Assist in developing strategies to mitigate risk.
- Reach out to clients to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and communicate any concerns related to their creditworthiness.
- Ensure that all credit activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, financial regulations, and credit management best practices to continuously improve the company's credit evaluation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; or relevant master's degree preferred
- At least 1+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis,
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Proficient in financial modelling and risk assessment techniques
- Experience with credit management and CRM systems
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with asset-based lending practices
