CNC Lathe Machinist

1 Resource Group is currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our client's team of machinists in South Houston, TX. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CNC machines to produce high-quality machinery parts within the machinery industry. You will work closely with other members of our team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.

Preferred experience –

• G CODE programming preferred; MAZAK MAZATROL Programming experience Required!
•    CNC machining technical school certificate (preferred)
•    10+ Years experience (preferred) using CNC lathe machines with 5 axis, X and Z for rounding parts.
•    CNC lathe & manual machining experience using the Mazak Mazatrol program on the Quick Turn 350 MY CNC Lathe Machine.
•     Experience with machining castings
• Understanding of casting obstacles when machining (ex. Porosity, weld repair, etc...)

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Move around, bend and lift as up to 50 lbs. required.

Working Conditions: Working environment will require the operator to be standing 90% of the time in a non-AC environment.

Training/Certifications: N/A

Shift Time/Overtime: Position is Night Shift Role starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 4:30 am, Ability to work 12-hour shifts, up to 7 days a week if needed.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of CNC Machinist, you should have:

High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
• CNC Lathe experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and related software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precision work
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Machining/Manufacturing experience
• Experience with 4 & 5 Axis machining
• Preferred knowledge of the power industry
• Valid Driver's License
