Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering clinical care to patients in various settings.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide comfort and support to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Support daily activities and assist patients with personal care needs as required.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the clinical team promptly.
- Coordinate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team to facilitate care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant healthcare certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
