Childcare Provider

Freedom Flood & Fire is seeking a dependable and passionate individual to join our team as a Childcare Provider. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of the children under your care, creating a nurturing and educational environment, and fostering a positive atmosphere. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who has a genuine love for children and is dedicated to their growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, outdoor playtime & organize curriculum provided.
• Follow established routines and schedules, including meal and nap times, to ensure consistency and stability for the children
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and any issues that may arise
• Monitor and document children's behavior and activities, addressing any concerns or disciplinary issues in a respectful and appropriate manner
• Administer first aid and emergency treatments as necessary, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of all children

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting (2 years)
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations with patience and composure
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
