Full Job Description
Title: Chemical Technician
Location: Pecos & Mentone, Tx and surrounding areas
Schedule: 5/2 (Monday through Friday)
Hours: 8-hour workdays (1 hour of paid drive time and occasional monthly on-call shifts.)
Pay: Compensation for this position is based on experience with an hourly rate ranging from $30 - $35/hr

Hierarchy Breakdown:
Reports to: Directly to the Foreman for the Pecos, Tx Area
Works Directly Alongside: All Chemical Crews and Personnel working in his or her field.
*** Please Be Aware this is not an “Office” Position, This Position is a “Field” Position***
Top Focus of this Position:
· Coordinate chemical operations, including installation, troubleshooting, and communication.
· Install new chemical applications (plumbing chemical lines, pumps, solenoids, and monitoring equipment).
· Troubleshoot existing chemical applications (pump repairs, injection plumbing, automation systems, and H2S tower operations).
· Develop action plans and ensure smooth execution of chemical operations.
Chemical Technician will have Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following:
· Chemical Pump Setup and Maintenance
· Installation of Chemical Applications (plumbing, pumps, solenoids, automation equipment)
· Troubleshooting Chemical Systems (pump and plumbing repairs, automation issues, H2S towers)
· Communicate with Vendors, Operations Staff, and Management
· Develop Action Plans for efficient chemical operations
· Audit Chemical Systems and maintain KPI reporting and costing
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum 2 year oilfield experience preferred.
· Need strong work ethic.
· Willingness to learn.
· Prior experience is helpful but not required.
· Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn internal/external programs (experience with Cygnet and TOW is a plus).
· Must be able to work independently with good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
· Good driving record required.
· Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures (Federal, State, and local policies and procedures).
· Must be willing to undergo background check and driving record check.
· Must be willing and able to pass DOT drug screening / physical.
