Certified Surgical Technologist

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a vital member of the surgical team, working alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of surgical care. The CST is responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for surgery, including setting up equipment and supplies
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist the surgeon with surgical procedures, including passing instruments and sutures
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure
• Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with anesthesia
• Document the surgical procedure and maintain accurate records
• Comply with all safety and infection control protocols
• Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
