CDL End Dump Truck Driver

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dependable CDL End Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating end dump trailers, possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), and demonstrate proficiency in driving long distances. The primary responsibility of this role is to transport materials safely and efficiently to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit reliability, consistency, and a strong mechanical aptitude to ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle. San Marcos / New Braunfels area. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate end dump trucks and trailers to transport various materials such as aggregates, soil, gravel, and construction debris.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Safely load and unload materials at job sites, utilizing proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage or accidents.
• Drive long distances, adhering to established routes and delivery schedules while maintaining awareness of road conditions and traffic patterns.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries, and promptly report any issues or discrepancies to management.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck and trailer, including checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any logistical challenges or concerns.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating end dump trucks and trailers, with a strong understanding of their mechanics and functionality.
• Ability to drive long distances and work extended hours as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrated reliability and consistency in attendance and performance, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address minor vehicle maintenance and repair issues.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and securing loads.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the construction or transportation industry, particularly with end dump truck operations.
• Knowledge of local roads, highways, and traffic patterns in the areas of operation.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems
