Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive aggressive sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing enterprise-level opportunities within the chemical industry. This role demands a consultative selling approach to match customer needs with Agilis' innovative solutions. The position is remote, based in major U.S. cities such as New York, Houston, Chicago, or Atlanta. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve ambitious sales targets through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-driven selling to large enterprise customers.
  • Develop deep expertise in Agilis' platform, products, and value propositions for customers.
  • Conduct compelling web demonstrations of Agilis’ software for prospective clients.
  • Analyze customer needs and software ecosystems to create tailored proposals for various stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to win complex enterprise deals.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships, ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to relay customer feedback and stay updated on product developments.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain a strong understanding of competitors’ offerings.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM practices with accurate account plans and sales forecasts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven enterprise software sales experience, ideally serving the chemical or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Track record in selling complex software solutions with multi-phase implementations.
  • Experience engaging with both business/commercial and IT stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative sales mindset.
