Summary:

We're looking for an experienced AI Security Engineer to join us, someone skilled in both artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. This role focuses on ensuring the security and integrity of AI systems and applications. Collaborating across teams, you'll identify vulnerabilities, implement security solutions, and continuously enhance our AI systems' security posture.

The AI Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in fortifying our AI systems, designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect associated data, software, and hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess AI systems for vulnerabilities and risks. 
  • Develop and implement security controls to safeguard AI models, data, and infrastructure. 
  • Integrate security best practices into AI project development. 
  • Design authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms for AI data and algorithms. 
  • Conduct security testing and monitor security logs to detect and respond to incidents. 
  • Stay updated on emerging AI and cybersecurity threats, recommending proactive measures. 
  • Provide security guidance, training, and support to teams and stakeholders. 
  • Participate in incident response and collaborate with external partners to enhance security.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and enforce tailored security protocols for AI systems. 
  • Monitor AI systems for breaches and investigate violations. 
  • Design and implement AI-driven security solutions and threat detection systems. 
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams for secure AI integration. 
  • Stay informed about AI security threats and mitigation techniques. 
  • Conduct security assessments and risk analysis for AI projects. 
  • Provide security training and awareness for staff working with AI systems. 
  • Develop best practices and security standards for AI applications.

Requirements

Qualifications to be Successful:  

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and security vulnerabilities. 
  • Experience with machine learning, neural networks, and AI methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards. 
  • Proficiency in Python or R, common languages used in AI. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. 
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and AI are advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 
  • 3+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on securing AI systems. 
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and AI frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, regulations, and compliance requirements. 
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages used in AI development. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are beneficial. 
  • Experience with cloud computing and containerization technologies is desirable.
