Full Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Accountant collaborates closely with other talented accounting and finance staff to promote integrity and spearhead billing operations. While reporting to the Regional Finance Director, this role has opportunities to collaborate with other AR Accountants, run the full-cycle billing process, and oversee collections response. They will work directly with both internal stakeholders and external customers while creating a customer centric approach primarily in the area of collections and credit management but will collaborate within the order to cash process. About the Role:
- Promote steady cash collections and credit management with customers
- Make daily collection calls/email
- Send statements to outstanding customers
- Review and approve credit limit and term increases
- Full Cycle AR: Reviewing and processing invoices, refunds, and credit memos
- Provide excellent customer service while responding to customer emails and phone calls
- Conduct account research and analysis
- Maintain an accurate aging report and actively address any aged items
- Reconcile A/R to the G/L
- Perform other related month-end activities and tasks assigned by the Finance Director
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience in relevant role
- 2-5 years of accounts receivable/collections experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Dependable and motivated
- Analytical thinker with attention to details and aptitude in problem-solving
- Team orientation
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages preferably Navision and Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in English
