The starting rate of pay is $22.36 (min) to $27.95 (mid) per hour.

Requirements
Essential Functions
Maintains streetlights and traffic signals; troubleshoots to identify the problem and repair as needed.
Installs, services, and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring. Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
Installs, repairs, and services specialized electrical equipment. Constructs and maintains service equipment. Reads electrical circuit diagrams.
Must be available for On-call duties
Responds to citizen requests and complaints including requests regarding traffic control and storm drainage.
Cross trained for execution and inspection of commercial and residential soil erosion and sedimentation control measures.
Cross trained to inspect work conducted by contractors on town projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade; knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations about the electrical trade; basic knowledge of computer logic and programming; knowledge of methods and practices in the maintenance of tools and equipment; knowledge of safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years experience in Traffic Signal Maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work frequently sitting and speaking or hearing and occasionally requires standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions; operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires wet, humid conditions (non-weather), working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to outdoor weather conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the State of Tennessee
IMSA Traffic Signal Level I or II Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Skills & Experience With: Bucket Truck/Aerial Lift, and fall protection.
