Quality Supervisor
HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 33 facilities in eight countries.
Currently, we are seeking a Quality Supervisor to become a part of the HIROTEC team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish the quality management system IATF16949.
Manages and operates under the quality management system to ensure all products and services are produced correctly and adequately to meet customers’ needs.
Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process.
Manage internal and supplier audit activities corresponding to production schedules and evaluate and recommend alternative auditing procedures for continuous improvement.
Recommends improvements in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results.
Lead the Quality team to achieve a robust quality process, partnering with all teams to drive Quality and Continuous improvement.
Manages and assists with training of quality/technical documents that cover equipment, process control plans, and standard operating procedures.
Analyze trends and metrics for quality production staff to achieve most efficient and accurate quality assessments.
Customer and vendor interface for quality assurance.
Participate in and lead 5S, Quality, Safety, Delivery, Cost, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.
Other duties and projects may be assigned.
Ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree and two years quality/supervisor experience in automotive/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills, in addition to proven Microsoft Office/computer skills required. Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of employees. Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills. Must have a sound technical aptitude with a thorough understanding of stamping, automation, and manufacturing applications. SAP experience is preferred.
