Full Job Description
The Procurement Coordinator at GOVX will support the business with best-in-class processes to inform and improve GOVX’s data-driven inventory management. GOVX best serves our members by purchasing products desired by and relevant to the GOVX member through the application of insight and prediction of business demands. The Inventory Coordinator is a creative problem solver who will be a partner in devising workable plans and implementing them as they relate to the business owned inventory. This position will report to the Procurement Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Meet inventory objectives by ensuring inventory holdings align with business revenue goals.
- Maintain inventory procurement systems utilized to inform inventory buys.
- Proactively review forecast models and evaluate results, researching and reconciling variances to demand plans, then re-defining modeling software inputs to incorporate updated assumptions.
- Identify and leverage best practices and system usage to work accurately and timely.
- Identify trends for high and low sellers, conversion issues, and merchandising updates.
- Processing purchase orders including ongoing communication with GOVX inventory vendors.
- Preparation and presentation of sell through reporting.
- Communicate proposed inventory strategies and purchasing recommendations clearly and effectively to senior business executives via reports and metrics.
- Uncover and contribute new opportunities to solve business problems with data-driven tools.
Requirements
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years’ experience in procurement, inventory management, supply chain, or a related field
Skills/Requirements
- NetSuite experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and applying formulas to add operational value to data sets.
- Quantitative analytical skills, ability to form conclusions using numerical data.
- Planning and Forecasting system experience.
- Technical knowledge understanding retail forecasting definitions and formulas.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate inventory strategies, purchasing recommendations, and insights to senior business executives and cross-functional teams.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis, forecasting models, and inventory management processes.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and optimization of inventory management practices.
- Ability to work autonomously, exercising independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, and under management supervision.
- Operates with a sense of ownership and urgency.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Location
This is an in-office position working onsite at our GOVX Fulfillment Center in LaVergne, Tennessee, requiring you to be in the office five days per week, Monday - Friday. After an initial 90-day introductory period is successfully completed, there is potential to transition to a hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in the office.
No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.

Salary Range
$26.44 - $31.25 hourly
